t.A.T.u - All The Things She Said

Bloggers Crack In The Road asked a bunch of bands to record a cover of a number one hit from the past decade, to support the charity 'Youth Music' and to celebrate ten years of their blog.

After much deliberation (R Kelly's "Remix to Ignition" was another big contender...) we decided on t.A.T.u's modern classic (kinda) "All The Things She Said". Listen here:

Oh, and check out the other covers on the compilation which are all available for free download.

Spooky Weekend

It's Halloween weekend and we are playing a couple of spooky gigs.

One is not actually spooky; it's an Oxjam charity event tomorrow evening...

Pastedgraphic

The other is a spectacular Rumba Halloween shindig in the Glasshouse, alongside the wonderful Den Haan.

Testing: new live setup

Testing a possible new live electronic setup for Nevada Base since we have ditched the laptop. A couple of sequences on the MPC and synth twiddling. For some reason I spoke the word 'Elation' to test the vocoder and tested out the DD-50 drum pads triggering samples on the MPC... recorded it all directly from mixer to camera input, so sound there's a bit of hissss...
